Hi, my name is Ron Schroerlucke. I began sharpening knives at the age of 9 under my grandfathers' watchful eye. I have used just about every kind of stone imaginable, but not all of them. In 1984 I bought my first set of paper sharpening wheels. I began sharpening at gun and knife shows and did commercial sharpening for restaurants.

After sharpening in restaurants for a number of years, I found most knives were very low quality and pretty much just junk. I began making knives for restaurants, hunters, fishermen etc., and continued to offer my sharpening services.

Base price for sharpening knives starts at a dollar an inch, plus postage, or if you happen to be in the Sidney, Ohio area on the last Saturday of the month, I am usually set up to sharpen blades at the local gun show.

My wife Sue and I offer carving, scrimshaw and basic engraving, sharpening and knife making.

I have included some pictures of some of my work, starting with an axe, a sword and a knife.

Questions? Contact me through BladeForums or rschroerlucke@woh.rr.com email.
