Ok, you winDelica Wharncliffe in HAP 40 gets crazy sharp. Worn away a decent bit of metal so I sharpened to the point that the secondary bevels were tall enough again,
this process of hand sharpening knocked the "shoulders" of transition between primary and secondary down enough to convex the edge a bit, Japanese Water stones to polish the
bevel, remove burs and set up a bit of micro bevel (really just hitting the apex a bit to straighten and de-bur) without taking all the benefits of convex away.
The next day at work I guess I "forgot" the 3-4 hours of sharpening from the night before.
I went to cut a piece of flexible conduit (carflex) like I normally do: Half way through in a reverse carving/ skinning style grip, and then finish the cut by holding the two free ends in one hand
like rope and cutting away from myself. Instead, I didn't pay close enough attention I remember not watching the cut with concentration, just glancing down to make sure I was on my "sharpie mark"
Hardly felt the knife go through at all, looked down, and instead of half way through the conduit it was all the way through the conduit with a good start on a fresh fillet of thumb meat
Knives are sharp. Pay attention and cut away from yourself!![]()

I don't feel like a winnerOk, you win
Buck's S30V and the incredible blade geometry of the 110/112 series combine to produce one of the finest cutters you'll find,IMHO.My buck 112, It seems that I can get it sharper than any other knife that I own.
sharpest ive seen is spyderco's h1 on the salt model. has anyone had similar experience with spyderco h1 steel?
