Sharpest knife you’ve ever seen?

A SOG Tomcat I traded my uncle for. You would cut yourself opening it and not even realize it if you weren’t careful. Plus it had that anti gravitational locking system that would assist in the blade closing when you pressed the lock mechanism, from pretty much with the knife being held at any angle.

That's a really good return on investment. Most I would probably get for my uncle would be a pack of smokes ;)

I have seen some really high polished edges, but honestly, I get mine pretty stupid sharp with a steel and strop. I've got a new Para 3 in Cruwear that will take the print off phone book paper right now. Dunno how long it will last, but I'm scared of this knife currently ;)

Most people here mention super highly polished edges whittling hairs and such, but the scariest sharp edges I've seen are on thin basic carbon steel traditionals off a 600 grit stone. I'm not a great sharpener but sometimes I get it just right and the toothy edge off a medium stone makes it bite  immediately and  aggressively as soon as it makes contact with the skin such that I'm afraid to even shave hair (although it does of course still shave easily).

Easily my yanagi.
11° total angle. Sharpened with only an 8000 grit stone, flattened before and after each use.
The moment my skin touches the edge, I feel skin splitting.
This knife is ONLY designed to cut soft flesh, and it does it very well.
