Ok, this is actually a story about a foolish man not thinking things through, and getting what he deserved

I was attaching a fob to my Meaner. It was a tight fit and as I was getting her appropriately settled (cinching it down) and pulling it tight - Well I pulled the knife out of the sheath I was holding her in. Blade pulled out as I exerted force and sliced right into the web between my thumb and first finger....Clean, neat, swift, and with that absence of immediate pain which always tells me I did it real good.........At least it did not bleed too much - and no superglue did not fix her in this case - I tried....

And now I have to tell everyone who asks "why the bandage?" a story. Most likely I will make up something about defending a woman's honor or protecting an innocent from thugs ...or at least something a bit more enhancing and endearing than the truth...

Be careful out there! I darn near took my thumb off - and with a Busse you could easily do it.

(At least when some people drop a knife on their toe it sounds more like an accident ...:))

:thumbdn: geez, that looks painful.

I can't imagine stretching your thumb out like that, even for a photo to share with the hogs... but thanks nonetheless  reminds me, I always leave my INFI laying around the desk barenaked... I got bit once, still haven't learned my lesson :(

Ya - be careful. Busse knives have over the years given personal meaning to the phrase "never try to catch a falling knife":D:thumbup:

And yet - still I forget.....

Holy Smokes Brother
glad its still attached!
Im gonna suspend your "foolin with knives" permit
for at least a month!

Unless you wear these....

Holy frak!! Damn, man...OUCH. Glad you'll heal, but sorry to see that. Looks nasty...
I think that you should beat that Meaner, and then send it away...to me! ;)

Jaxx - my Meaner was just doing her job and she did it well!! - I am the moron...But she IS staying here!! :)

And ya - my wife has suspended my knife playing for a bit - each time I go to basement she asks ... "What are you doing..??"

And no more leaf raking here - but I might have to shovel some snow........

As bad as that is, you're lucky there was no tendon damage -- it's going to hurt every time you try to use that hand for a while though.

Doug, that will just not work as a method of injecting yourself with magic infi dust!

Ouch! Heal up quickly!

Well at least I did not try to take the I-Dust intravenously or up my nose ;)

Thanks - Its not feeling too bad today

Sorry about your luck brother...

on a side note, my wife just read your story in a sexual way outloud.... and it was realllllyy funny

There are two types of motorcyclists--those who have been down and those who will be down. I am inclined to believe the same principle applies to knife aficionados. There are those who have cut themselves and those who will cut themselves. Thankfully, at least it wasn't worse. Heal quickly!

Too funny - I can see her point :)

And OTE - I hear you and as many know there are several good reasons why I do not own a motorcycle, or airplane ..etc.....................;)

T-III, Bro I bet it wasn't the slice that hurt so much but the having to explain it. I feel your pain!!!:o

Ouch, that's a nasty bite! She did do her work well. It's obvious you keep em sharp. Good work, and I hope it heals fast.

Thanks Everyone :)

And yes - its the explaining, over and over again. Especially to non knife people - they do not understand. I tell them "no .....its was not a kitchen knife ..." :)
