Heal up, brother.

This was a couple of weeks after I kept it all glued together with the surgical glue. I didn't got to the ER as "punishment" to myself for being stupid.

I inserted a Rat Mastiff back into the cardboard sheath that was held in my palm with a little too much... vigor.

That looks like it was fun!

Been there, done that!

Right hand. Severed a nerve in my thumb. 3 years? later? still no feeling in that part of the thumb!

Mine also involved a lanyard (caught between my thigh, and the table, pulled the knife through my hand).

This was the knife that did it. I made it in my garage. 5160, hibachi and oil quench, oven temper all done by me. (used no power tools until shaping the handle).

Ohhh man - now you are bringing back the pain memories...

Yours is a doosie! Looks like you did almost cut off you thumb. Glad you still have the appendage and I hope in time your nerves come back. I almost cut the tip of my finger off once (small bit was still connected to the rest of the finger) and the nerves have come back - but ya it took like 3-4 years.
