Sheepsfoots and wharncliffes! Oh my!

I'm surprised that there's been no GEC #57 wharncliffe Geppetto's or #26 sleeveboard "Little Carvers" yet.

My gray bone Case Seahorse came in today, great snap in all the blades, sweet knife!

I was thinking about some of my non-traditionals and at least two (Benchmade and Kershaw) have wharncliffe blades, no wonder I was attracted to them :D

Just ordered my first GEC! #25 Easy Open Jack in Zebra Wood-Sheepsfoot

Good choice! You're gonna like it. It will have good snap too.:) I've never seen or heard of a #25 GEC that didn't.

The EO's are easy to open by design yet they have good, strong backsprings. An excellent combination.

Case / Tony Bose Norfolks
IMG_1602.jpg

Just picked up a Case/Bose Norfolk in antique bone...great looking/feeling. If you can find one, grab it. Case does an amazing job with these and the Norfolk is one of the best. With the size, single backspring, tension, blade swedging its very close to a real custom Bose...the Norfolks are a great carry slip. Thanks..JT

I'm wondering if that's the original handle? The nail nick on the blade is obviously made for lefty, but then, so are the sheepfoot blades on many other knives (like a stockman). I'm wondering if the blade & spring were taken from another multi-blade knife, and put into a 'home-made' handle. Just a thought.

Something is not quite right about this knife.

Thanks Rail! I'm pretty excited. Owe it all to you guys for turning me around, back to simple perfect knives. Less is definitely more...

Always a handy blade shape for sure, one I'm fairly partial to !

A couple of mine...

P1010094.jpg

This one had a sheepsfoot, but I used it so much, mostly the tip, that resharpening kinda changed it into a pen, so I reground it to thin it, and left the finish "as-ground"...

I've got a couple that haven't been posted yet. The PW red bone Case SBG has really taken a top spot in my daily carry drawer. The Case second cut antique bone I won in Jason Baker's give away is really a favorite too.

Shown here with its buddy, the mini Copperlock gifted to me by Willgoy:

and the SBG:

I can't resist putting the mini copperheads up. I should have another in the mail today.

Edit the first picture was not the one I thought it was and while looking for the correct one, I ran across this one that I had forgotten about:

Missed these earlier... GEC #33 Conductors with coping blade secondaries instead of pens. These two are SFOs. I think only ones with bails are available or Tidioute Buffalo Horn models

Tuna Valley Cutlery 4 blade Stockman (made by GEC) with both a wharncliffe and sheepsfoot. TVC ownership changed hands just recently. I think the new ones have a new COA and now have both bolsters dimpled
