I'd hate to add up how much this thread has cost me...but I love it! :D

There are some totally awesome knives in this thread. Now I just need to take photos of mine and add to it.

Just got this GEC 61 today so I thought I'd post some pics.

Time to bump this thread. Here is a New York Knife (pre-Hammer Brand) c.1880 pick bone wharncliffe whittler I think one of the secondaries is a later replacement blade.

Fantastic proportions to that Whittler Charles! Lovely bone too, and I'm really taken by the Rat-Tail bolsters. Is this a larger knife say 4"/10cm knife?

Thanks, Will

No it's closer to 3 1/2", but John has the knife right now and I'll have to wait to measure it for you Will. Thanks for the comments. Finding vintage wharncliffes (esp NYK) where the master is not worn out is hard to do.

Here is a nice little Cattaraugus Serpentine Wharncliffe with jigged bone.

I bought this Hen & Rooster in the seventies. I don't think I have a knife I've owned longer.

Here is a nice little WATER-VILLE Co. (1890-1913) Serpentine Wharncliffe with jigged bone.
