Sheer Luck: Flung BS Knife 2mm From Death

That mugging story is nuts. Wish I could see that actual video to have full credence, though. Any info on the extent of the penetration/damage/harm/lasting injury?

So the dude lights up a cigarette after getting stabbed in the head, and before calling for emergency services? What is he, a freakin' crackhead?! And it doesn't sound like a mugging, sounds more like a serious attempt to murder the guy...

As far as the kid in the picture with the multitool in his forehead, I don't quite understand that story... What was it about the dude who threw it? He was trying to throw it at someone, but hit this other kid instead?

The picture doesn't seem fully genuine. Part of what it has going against it is the idea that here is a kid with a friggin' knife stuck into his skull, and he's just calmly posing for a picture (which does not seem to be in a clinical setting like an E.R. or ambulance or anything) and he doesn't even appear to have been crying or anything... Strikes me as odd that not only does he not seem upset, there also does not seem to have been any urgency to getting him medical care if they stopped to take this picture.

Again, crackheads? :jerkit:

Why did this come up again? Nothin' worse than old news....

Oh, there's always someone who didn't catch it the first time around -- like me. I reckon that's why they have re-runs.

It's old news but you should still be able to find it at www.cnn.com and other news sites, as well as discussion here at Bladeforums. They brought the boy to the nearest emergency room to have it removed. The boy was pretty calm about it as I recall, at least by the time the press interviewed him.
