Who uses em? I just got another. A BCB. This thing is supersized compared to my other shemaghs!!!!!! I can tell its gonna come in handy.

What do you guys use em for???

In the spirit of christmas and brotherhood or whatever, Id like to offer up a TAD gear skull shemagh in OD green to a RAT packer who has never used one. All you have to do is promise to use it. First "I WANT!!!!" gets it. :cool:
 
I carry one, but rarely use it. I just haven't found much use yet, but I like to have it. I use it as a scarf when winter camping sometimes.

Got mine at OpsGear (they're located in Salt Lake!)

Joe, there is an OpsGear about a mile from my house. I picked up my Maxpedition Falcon II there. Nice store. Good selection of gear.
 
I have one from US Cavalry and one from Opsgear. One is Coyote/black, the other is green/black. They both are around 45"-48" square. I've used them for a face mask, head-neck wrap, and pre-filter for water purification. You could fold it in half and use it as a sling or wrap. I use them for a lot of things, I think they're a great addition.

I just ordered the new John Lofty Wiseman survival video form BestGlide yesterday. It's 2 plus hours and takes all the stuff from the SAS Survival books and puts it into a video. BestGlide is a great company to order from, they always have some great items that can be hard to find else where.

Tad's shemagh's are 44" x 44". Everything they make is 1st rate so I'm sure they'll last a long time.
 
I used one 20 years ago ... in my teens when I used to ride a bicycle to school. Kept my head warm all winter ...
 
I have the Grey Group Shemagh with skulls on it. I use it alot, for just about anything. Keeping dust and wind out of my face, keeping my neck cool after soakking it with water, padding a rock for a pillow, extra padding for a pack strap on a raw shoulder... a neck scarf on cold days, a dust rag, you name it. I should buy three or four more, this one is holding up very nicely though. They are basically large bandanas, but traditionally they are middle eastern face wraps for keeping sand out of one's face.
 
Yes, I shemagh. I made one from a piece of micro weight fleece. It's part of my cold weather kit. Works great when sleeping out in cold weather. I swear it keeps me warmer than I would otherwise be without it.
 
I thought Gabe Suarez was the only one who wore those?

J/k, they're pretty handy, I need to get myself one.
