Sheriff Longmire's Knife - Buck110

Or have Cheyenne ancestors guiding your bullet.
:)
I'd never recommend shooting any animal at 1000 yards.
Some CAN do it, but there's a large chance that something can go wrong and why take that chance of cruelly crippling an animal?

Well, I'm starting the second Longmire Mystery tonight. It's called "Death Without Company." I hope it's a little better than the first. He has a bit of a problem writing dialogue. Hope he's worked on that. And the firearms and ballistics issues? Well, we shall see. :)

I just finished my forth Longmire book, getting some reading done while sitting around after foot surgery. So far, I've yet to find a single reference to a Buck knife. But I've found references to a CaseXX pocket knife of unknown model, a old bone handled Case trapper, and a stag handled Case Russlock.

It seems like the literary Walt is a Case fan, but not sure what model he likes best!:D

Sadly, I just recently finished the last of the Longmire series books.
I really enjoyed all the books in that series! I think the newest novel comes out in September.
I don't recall any mention of a Buck knife in the novels, just Case. I did see a Schrade and a Buck on the TV series though.

Craig Johnson was in town last night promoting his new book, The Western Star, which goes on sale today. The final season of the TV series will start sometime next month. Keep an eye open for Walt's Buck 110. There is a possibility that once the series ends, there will be one or two full length movies.

I think I like the books a bit better. More vivid characters like Lucian Connally. And the dog. The tv show doesn't have Walt's dog. The books are way different and I think better.

I'll have to watch it again, I was sure it was a Buck, but I've been wrong before, the curse of getting older.
It's definitely a ka bar that he uses to cut the seat belt if u look close u will see that it has 5 pins and the notches on the back of the blade make the a vintage 1960s ka bar pocket knife I own one to compare it to the Buck knives only have 3 and 4 pin design but look very similar

Weird info when you look it up.
ACT TWOEXT. OFF THE HIGHWAY - DUSKThe Bronco tipped on its right side (the passenger side). INT. BRONCO - DUSK, CONTINUOUSWalt hangs in the driver’s seat, breathing heavy, strapped in his seatbelt suspended the 6 ft above the passenger window, looking down at the ground below...Walt’s seatbelt will not release. It’s jammed...Walt digs in his coat pocket and pulls out a BONE-HANDLED CASE FOLDING KNIFE with his right hand that is bleeding from a GASH. BLOOD on the metal side of Walt’s radio tells us that may have been the cause.Walt unclicks the knife with his teeth, then cuts through the seatbelt strap on his shoulder. Ffft...the tough fabric breaks and gravity takes over. BANG, BOOM, BASH. He lands on the passenger door below. Walt sucks up the pain.Walt rubs his injured bloody hand and wrist (his shooting hand). Over his head, the radio mic dangles from the curly cord, irritating the hell out of Walt. He sees the photo of Parkford and his wife. Grabs it. Tucks it in his pocket.

Bye John!

edit;
I shoulda quoted him while he was still around.
