shield/no shield

The more I look at it, the more I like the big shield. That being said, please put me on your list for a custom. :D

To my eye all traditional folders should have shields, that being said I THINK the bar is cheesy and I much
prefer the Federal version, not to big just right. TO ME, of course. I feel traditional are naked without a shield...

While I have a few, and would not turn away a nice flea market vintage knife because of it, I've always thought that blank shields look stupid. Shields are supposed to say something, it was either a cost cutting measure or just a thing to copy for cheaper lines of knives. A shield should look like the Keen Kutter ones, it should say something or have a design of some sort.

No to the bar unless you are going to round, or otherwise shape the ends and engrave a name on it.
