Shields...any preference? Or know any history on them?

Many knives with a punch had special shields!!
Cattaraugus used a simple Disc!!

Remington used an Acorn!!
Robeson marked the shield with a B P for Belt Punch!!! (lower knife)

I like Federal Shields, Acorns and I especially like the Hounds Tooth shield used on the 2014 Forum knife.

I love the large shield Camillus used on some of their knives.

Shrade cut co in center, the lockback to its left is NYK co, same shield just slightly different variations between the two companies.

Some are rounded ends, some square, the shield on the center knife bows upwards a little

Similar shields with slightly different variations.

The center 3 have similarities
