Hey,

I would rather not name any names at this point because its a very recent development but none the less I would like some feedback to be prepared for the worst. I recently contacted a Kydex bender on these forums to produce a sheath for me. I payed for the sheath via paypal which sent the guy my address. I received a tracking number that I have been checking daily. I just got home from work about two hours ago and checked it USPS Track and confirm that showed the package was shipped to Lilly Dale NY, I live in Lakewood NY. It says the package has been forwarded but does not say to where. I am a little bit nervous as this is the first time something like this has happened to me here. I have emailed the maker but he is out of town i guess till next week sometime. How should i proceed?

Re-post when there is an issue. Until it shows delivered in the USPS tracking system, it's still in transit.

Things get mis-routed and re-routed often in shipping systems. Shipping lanes are constantly adjusted. You may be one of hundreds of parcels sent to the other town for forwarding to nearby areas.

Since Lilly Dale is chock full of spiritualist, I'm sure they will mentally direct your knife to the right address....

Just kidding.

I'd wait and see what happens...

I have had things like this happen to me. 3 times so far. and i have recieved my package everytime. may have taken an extra day or 2 but so far so good. I hope it works out for you as well. im sure it will.

Sorry man it just came to me out here in Hawaii and I tossed it in the garbage because I didn't know what it was.

I had something similar happen on a package I once shipped. The address on the label I printed was correct, however somewhere along the line it was entered as heading to an incorrect zip code and this is what threw it off. Took a few days extra for it to make it's way to the correct destination. I know it's hard to think otherwise but give it some time and try not to think about it too much. USPS will catch and correct the error, and get it on it's way to you soon enough. :)

I had the exact same thing happen to me not too long ago. You WILL receive your package...4 or 5 days late, but you will receive it.

Recived the Sheath two days ago. Unfortunetly It seems there is still a mistake. There is no Tec Lock which I payed an extra 12.95 to get. I have been waiting a few extra days before replying in hopes that it would arrive in a second package or something. But it has officially been over one week since It was shipped there was no tracking number provided for the Tec Lock so I don't really know where to go with this one. Shot him an email the first time that this was miss routed that he did not respond to. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Contact the seller and let him know that there was no Tec Lock in the package. Maybe he over looked it.

If the package was addressed properly to the address you provided or have current in paypal, there was no mistake on the part of the shipper. He has no control over how the USPS operates.

Email again. Maybe he's out of town this week.

Don't take this the wrong way but so far, there really isn't anything in this thread that warranted the opening of a GB&U thread. Email him again and be patient.

Got a reply today on the teclock today. Rather than sending it to me he accidnelty addressed it to himself and will have to send it to me when he gets back form vacation. I will be out of town when he gets back from vacation and is able to ship it going camping. The point of purchasing the sheath when I did was because the seller told me If i did not order it when I did I wouldn't get it before he went on vacation IE wouldn't get it before I went camping. I understand that it wasnt his falt with the missroute but it is his falt with failing to address the teclock to me from the manufacture like he said he would in his pre-sale email.

At this point it seems everything will be resloved the sheath is nice so cannot say anything bad about his worksmanship but cannot say I am pleased with the fact that I will have waited over two weeks for a teclock that was supposed to be here over a week ago.
