I purchased a school text book for my twin boys on ebay. Got lucky and won the auction for 99 cents. The seller said she had more than one, so I got two and asked her how much for the second book? It was 99 cents, so I was very happy about that. I asked her to ship it asap, and please include on the invoice. That was approx $18.00 for 2-3 days which was fine. Especially since the school's book distributor was selling them for $55 used. I was tickled to death. I paid via paypal. Today I recieve an email from the seller that told me she was able to stuff both books in a flat rate box, and refunded me $6. I just wanted to report that good will. I see this kind of good will on BF, especially in Traditional, and Wilderness, but now with Ebay as well. I am sure this seller wanted more than 99 cents for these text books, and she was still not willing to make money on shipping. I almost want to buy other things from her to show my appreciation. Good honest people do still exist in this day. It is comforting.

I'm going to move this from Community to FEEDBACK.

You should give us information on the actual seller, because she's the one who deserves the reputation, not eBay.

I agree she deserves the reco, but I dont agree with the 2nd part of your comment. If it were not for ebay, the OP would not of found that deal to begin with. He shed some good light on the place and your comment kinda did the opposite IMO.

The absent minded sellers and buyers on ebay are the only ones who deserve a poor reputation, not ebay alone.

*wanted to add*
Just looked at the first 2 pages of the GBU and if one were to simply judge this place by all the negative comments on page one & teo than they would run away. I dont know of a place on ebay where I can go and find so much bad experiences with just one click. With that in mind, I would never talk down on this place. To place blame on BF, opposed to the user would IMO, be a bit irrational.

I wasn't blaming eBay for anything. I just suggested that the credit goes to the seller. Just as eBay isn't to blame for a bad deal, it isn't responsible for a good one, either.

And I'm sure this kind of attitude will make you want to go back to this seller again. I've had some very decent treatment from sellers on e-bay,which is all the more remarkable as I'm living outside the USA. I e-mail back with thanks and recommend them to others, it can also lead to transactions privately outside the Bay.....but I'm keeping very quiet now!

Most the people on eBay I've dealt with have been super. A few have been slow, but they ultimately delivered and only one was deceitful and a jerk about it to boot.

I did not think to post this is Good/Bad thread, thanks for the move Esav.

Moderators are under appreciated... ;)

Just ask Uncle Jarvis... :D

andersoncn( 595) is the seller in question. I wanted to somehow promote her good deeds.

Chickentrax,
I smile at your Weimeraner avatar. I had one in my teen years. He was a great mourning dove retriever. He would bring me back birds I did not even shoot! He lived about 15 yrs. which was pretty long for a pure breed. He had so much personality. My mom still has a picture of JD on her fridge, and that was over 20 yrs. ago.
