Shipping Time From Poland?

I find that "In Transit to Destination" is meaningless. After my package got back to Cleveland for the second time (30 miles away), it was "in Transit to Destination" for three days. Mule teams? Chipmunks? No, just sitting in another pile.

The there is the "Your Item has Shipped" from eBay - when the item is almost 100% of the time not even at the Post Office yet and may not be for several days.
 
I just received my knife from Poland...total time was 22 days...not too bad, I guess, considering the holidays...

Sofia Bulgaria to Cedar Park Tx - 21 days

"Somewhere in Poland" to Cedar Park Tx - still in transit 20 days later - tracking just says "Polish Post" in Polish
 
ZZ,

When the knife is sent by LETTER not as a PARCEL - tracking does not work properly.
It will be refreshed when DELIVERED.
So it can be near your place and you will not see it in tracking due to system limitations.

I know because sent some knives via letter. It is cheaper but not better.
Once it was delivered after 58 days ;) with no sign in tracking system.
Was written only - sent from Poland I think (sure in 90%)

Be hopeful.

I'm still awaiting my Umnumzaan. It shipped from the US on the 8th. It took 11 days for it to clear customs at ISC LOS ANGELES... at least it in Switzerland now.

The Bulgarian package was a Yugoslavian bayonet.

The Polish package is not a knife, but a WW2 German Wehrmacht bakelite alarm whistle. $2 shipping. Hopefully, the shipper padded it with something. :D
 
Once Christmas had come and gone with no sign on my knife, I started rattling cages. I called USPS, I called customs. I got passed around on the phone, told my package had never arrived in the US. After a frustrating conversation, I got off the phone and checked the tracking 10 minutes later. It had just updated in the last 3 minutes! Coincidence? I don't care! My Mnandi has come home to roost, and I wanted to show it here first to thank you for the info and support while I bit my nails about this one. It's the bottom knife, the others also arrived today from other places.
