Shirogorov Price Increase

Word on the street is that Shirogorov has increased the prices of their knives coming out of the factory by about 30%. Well I read it on a reputable forum anyways.
And just as prices were starting to reenter the stratosphere. At least I was able to pick up a couple pieces at semi-reasonable prices so I can't really complain, but damn, can't say I'm not disappointed.
 
I never had one, was hoping to get one someday. I'll be looking for a CKF or something, in the meanwhile.
 
Ya CKF is doing some really nice customizing from what I've seen recently. They had a Morrf on their Instagram that was amazing.
 
I had hoped to see more of the Sebenza price range in the future. It appears that won't be happening soon though.
 
And I just grabbed a Shiro Neon. Yeah CKF puts out some quality stuff.

Actually.. the price increase is happening only to the Russian consumer to make up for the recent devaluation of the ruble. Prices to the American consumer via official Shirogorov retailers will be staying the same.

Granted, there are quite a few Russian individuals on forums and IG who have been buying locally then middle -manning to mostly American buyers. That's the area that will most likely be affected...but we'll see.
I'll holler at a couple Russian buddies and see what they have to say.
 
So far, one siberian buddy of mine said he's being forced to quit the re-selling of Shiros, as there's just no more money to be made.
Another guy is taking a wait and see approach.

I was wondering if this was the case. Had not seen many from a few of the sellers. Or they were selling different makers stuff. Not it all makes sense!
