Are they all left handed?
I wonder why?![]()
i like mine too........ Going to be a necker!!!!
I think if memory serves the 'teeth' are on the correct side to keep the blade cutting straight for a righty. Most serrations are on the wrong side because they photograph better. Hence why the Busse logo is on the 'good looking side.' All that info is from memory of a discussion in the Spyderco forum... but it makes sense when I look at the blade.
I dont have any serrated knives left. But somehow they really make sense on this little blade. I'm not sure why.... Jaxx: you cleaned it up nice!
Anybody get more than one? That cultie idea was looking good til Ban shot it down in flames *laugh* The expert would know.I'm still looking toward the Steelnut Spidey Sheath offering though:thumbup:
In case you are wondering about turning your cultie into a Shiva......I am pretty sure that the Shiva is made out of a Cultie Blank. You may lose some spine thickness by changing the profile because the cultie is already full flat ground. A plain edge Shiva would be pretty cool
Naa, I wouldn't want to turn a useable knife into a un-useable one, I was just curious to know if they were the same size.

A plain edge recurve shiva would be even cooler!!!!!!!!!
Have any of you ever used a serrated Spyderco hawkbill folder? Maybe you've at least noticed that they are quite popular as utility knives?
Well, the Shiva works just about the same as one of those. Anything that can be pull cut, that thing is going to glide through, not in spite of, but because of the serrations. Serrations are awesome for pure and extended utility. Better, in fact, than plain edge.
That secondary tip on the tanto portion (the one that meets the serrations) also makes a great place for making shallow cuts, such as opening a box, similar to how a wharncliffe blade would function. Add the chisel like, scraper tip, and you have one useful little blade for pure utility. Not to mention, if you ever need to stab something, well, that tip was born for it.
Open the boxes with the secondary point, cut the boxes down with the serrated recurve, scrape glue off of your work area with the plain edge portion, and then stab the knife through the stack of cut up cardboard for easy transport to the garbage.
were in the BIZ Bro!!!!!!
