Time splitter for Quiet
Zfinit. A little more hand sanding to go. Gonna bang out handles today.

NITRO-V
0.110 which is 3/32

Should make some sweet kitchen knives and thin Apex blades*. Hardness is my choice. Most likely 63HRC.


*Apex blades in this steel start at $200. Great deal!

Those are essentially the same alloy.
Z-wesr seems SLIGHTLY. tougher.

AEBL is a great choice Especially in thin stock for slicers. Gives people a cheaper option against the more exotic steels you're using. Z-finit sounds very cool though !!

I actually just got some NITRO-V in stock. Very similar to AEB-L. A SMIDGE of vanadium, and a whisper of Nitrogen, added for extra fun.

Alright so. On todays menu we have.
ELMAX.
In 0.220
And 0.156
One mini kephart is already spoken for from the 0.156.
I can make another small blade from that steel. (7inches or less OAL)

For the thick Elmax.
At least one Camp 1 model
A possible fighter based off the camp 1. Sharpened swedge, maybe a slight recurve.
If there is enough steel left, a little chunky blade.

Camp 1 model starts at $465
-includes G10/micarta standard
-kydex sheath.

Decided to work on some Elmax blades. Both large knives are available. Small dashi style knife is available too.

Spectacular failure yesterday.
Vanax blade broke in my hand.

How?

No idea.
Emailed Chuck AKS and he cant come up with a reason either.
Major bummer because the blade was nearly done. I was working on handles.
