short and stubby?

Thank you all for such great reco's. I investigated every single one. In the end, Im going with the Boker SUBCOM and the Ontario little bird. It was a tough choice and these were the two that I couldn't NOT buy!!. Together with shipping I emptied my 100$ budget :)

Thanks again for the great community and response!!

plus 1 for the any of the knives in the subcom family. I have never had a problem with them dulling too quickly...and when they do get dull they are easy to resharpen.

I actually enjoy sharpening (at the level of ceramic rods). Looks like the SUBCOM will require a bit of a rotation on the down stroke but Im up to the challenge.

I'm a fan of the BRKT Mikro Canadian. Small fixed blade, thick steel, comfortable handle, nice leather sheath that can be found for under $100.00.

I know it is too late for this poster, but...

BRKT have a good selection of about 2" bladed knives

I have an Al Mar SLB. My son nicknamed it "Stumpy". Its a great little stumpy knife. Excellent fit and finish. Ergonomics work good for me. It also has a pocket clip.

For a knife with a short blade it looks nice because the lines flow very well.

Looks like I'm too late, but I was going to suggest the CRKT Tuition.
