It was a beautiful day out and I just had to go for a short hike.

I know a lot of you guys like to pack stuff that serve more then one purpose, so I give you Pop-Tarts:eek: Not only a nice snack but the wrapper could be used as a signaling device in a pinch (I know the damn things nearly blinded me when I first set them down on that rock);)

mmmmmm......tactical tarts. Great pics, looks like a nice hike. I always like to be around some sort of water.
 
Great pics, I love the stream! Spring is getting close, hopefully lots and lots of pics like this start popping up :D

Ok, I am done in this subforum!! How can you be posting pictures of yesterday's hike when some of us are stuck here in our desk working like madmen? (ok, I am browsing the forum... but I was working a few minutes ago!)

That looks like a nice place but unless I am close to the stream or there is any kind of well travelled path there... that is not the place I would like to get lost in. No way to take references for navigation!

Nice pics. Where in MD? I'm in DE and have been looking for something new. That looks like a pretty nice place to spend a half day or so.
 
Flatlands? That there is down right hilly compared to the woods I used to hang out in, in Ohio. You just have to know were you are going, because there is no point of reference, and it is very dense, especially in the spring when things start blooming.
You wouldn't like it in the midwest U.S. Mikel.
