OK I just finished uploading all the images. My take on the show will come over the next few days and I will elaborate further in a few but for all you impatient bastids, here are the pics!

Now keep in mind many pics did not come out worth a **** because of the lighting so don't hold that against me

Look at the pics and when asking questions refer to the pic. Feel free to use the pics anywhere in this site but under no circumstances use them anywhere else.

OK.....

What impressed me the most?
Columbia River's entire line! Yes they are KICKING ASS!
Benchmade's new line up and remakes of some old favs.
Cuda Mini-Talon
Cuda EDC, love ya Darrell!

Biggest disappointments?
The Microtech Amphibian!
This model needs some serious help. Not to worry, help is on the way.
Also Microtech is, and maybe now was, going to have the new fixed blade from Lightfoot and the Chubby little credit card knife made in Japan. Not cool in my book and I expressed my unclouded opinion on that.

So if my opinion means anything you will see the Amphibian go through serious redesign including the Kraton inserts and the POS lock. Don't get me wrong the lock is great but you have to be an octopus to unlock the damn thing. Sorry I should of sugar coated that

The CC knife is OK but there are a few changes in the works and the fixed blade is a no go as far as I am concerned. Look for MAJOR announcements from Microtech very soon.

More coming....

Wow! Just took a quick look, Mike. What a great job. I think we'll all be having a great time with this for a long time. Thanks for a terrific effort at the show and for the effort at posting.

The designs from CRKT are great. More information can be found on their website: www.crkt.com/whatsnew.html. I'm definitely liking the Ryan Model Seven, Tighe Tac, and the Polkowski/Kasper Companion.

The last two Microtech's (the ultra-tech and vulcan) are OTF autos, right? Any impressions/info about them?

Oh yeah!

I just decide that Rob Simonich is just freaking awesome! So I decided that an entire new line of affordable Talon should be in the works. So to get the project started I convinced Camillus to make at least 300 154CM versions of the Talon fixed blade and we will take the entire run. Therefor I officially announce that the official fixed blade for BladeForums for 2001 will be a 154CM version of the Talon at a retail price point of $99.99 as an exclusive for BladeForums! Thanks Rob! You da man! And thanks to Camillus and WIll Finnell who helped me put the deal together and Jim who approved the deal.

Now for Phil Gibbs......

Rumor had it that Talonite can not be serrated. According to Tom Walz, Phil and anyone I have talked to concerning Talonite you can not serrate it.

Well you know me, I love a challenge! So I decided to take it on and I have figured out how to do it and you should of seen the reaction at the Camillus booth when I pulled a serrated version of the Talon out! Yes it can be done! I will share the technology with those who are interested

Look for pics soon

Always do right....this will gratify some and astonish the rest.

Thanks Mike!

Nice stuff indeed.

Must haves: Benchmade/Terzuola, Camillus mini Talon and EDC, CRKT/Tighe, and that wildly intriguing looking piece from CRK.

Thanks Mike, Those pictures are great. The new Chris Reeve and Ryan knives look great. In fact there were a lot of fine looking knives in those pictures. Again, thanks.

Hey Mike....was good to see you at the show there.

The new CRKT stuff does rock for sure....I managed to bring home 2 of the Steve Ryan's & 2 of the Brian Tighe's!

Great pics Mike! Looks like Sparky lost weight over Christmas, while I gained 6 pounds! Sheesh!

Since you are wheeling and dealing Mike, see what you can do to get MicroTech to make their fixed blade like their forst prototype, the one Greg Lightfoot used on his hunt. THAT is one kick butt fixed blade!

Mike thank you for the pics.

The Timberline Wortac and Ryan knives look nice. But the SOG Sculptura and MT Credit Card Knife/Platinum Backup are attractive too.

Mike, you da man!

Thanks Mike.
Did anyone get to see the Schrade / Van Barnett collab? I hear it is a very nice piece of work. (Been sitting on this secret for 8 months so now I want to talk about it.
