You are asking this in the Buck forum? :)

Heck yes. One of the best values in knifedom. Will last forever, unless you grind away the blade. Send it back to Buck every 20 years for a spa treatment. Good stuff.

By all means buy one. Solid chunk of American made slicing power. The muscle car of folding knives.

YES! It's a true American classic. Just bought 5 as Christmas presents for sons and grandson.

For the price ($30), quality, and general utility of this classic American knife, I'd buy it just to have one in the collection...even if I wasn't going to use it. That said, I use mine as a hunting knife. Just used it to field dress a deer last week, and it served the purpose very well. I sometimes use it while camping, and while running an archaeology field school also.

Every serious knife collector or knife nut should at least consider the Buck 110. IMO it SHOULD be in a collector's collection. Brother Powernoodle is right on the money.

I have been thinking about picking one up as well, but not sure on the 420 steel. What are the other options in blade steel?

the question is why would you not buy a buck 110. it may not be the best knife for every job but it is a good knife for most jobs

If you fancy yourself a knife guy, you won't have a complete collection without a Buck 110. There is a reason that millions have been sold overthe last 50 years and a reason everyone from Shrade, the Germans, the Japanese, the Chinese are copying it as we speak....

For you Yahoo's that fear the 420HC...DON'T!!! It's as good a blade steel as any man needs in a lifetime. If you wear it out, Buck with put a new blade in for you for about $7 or for free as seems to be their policy these days.....should only take you 20 or 25 years to wear it out.

Yep its an awesome blade, even if you don't use it all that often.... But, if you are a hunter, its great!!!!

And yeah, i'd recommend the cabelas version. the S30V will hold up a bit longer.

Yes, American made w/ a lock vault guarantee. I'd get the AG offered from Cabela's. DM

Best bang for the Buck (can't believe I said that). Great knife. Great company. Get one. Or two.
