Should I buy a delica?

You made a very good choice. I've got the orange one and I'm honestly jealous of my son's blue one.

I love the blue. Be warned, though. The images I saw online portrayed a fairly mulled blue, when in actuality it's quite vibrant. Personally, I think the vibrant blue is better, but that's just me.

Here is a short test that will help you out..

Do you currently own a Delica?
If the answer is NO, then you need to go out and buy one.
If the answer is YES, then you need to go out and buy another one.

Just call us "the enablers".

My favourite pocket knife (I rarely carry it clipped). My first Delica was a sabre grind D4. I then purchased a G10 Delica and followed up with the purple ffg (the most carried blade in my rotation) and a stealthier tan model.

My first "quality" folder (aside from my old Buck 110) was a Delica 3 - 10 years ago. I still have it, and
after going through (and eventually trading) lots of other Spydercos, I've found that the Delica is still the best. The
FFG version is definitely preferable to me, though (I now have 3 of them - blue for home, brown for office EDC, and
a gray one BNIB just in case I lose one :) ) . I sure hope they don't stop making these FFG versions in VG-10!!

That's the other thing I like, too. VG-10 is easier for me to get shaving sharp than S30V, or any of the other steels that
Spyderco uses. It stays sharp, too!

I've purchased a couple higher end sprint-run Spydercos. I have owned 2 Delicas, 1 of which I regrettably traded-off when I thought I wanted to expensive, fancier blades. Now I'm back to my brown Delica FFG. It's a tool that really becomes a part of you. I used to want G-10 or CF for my knives but I know the FRN handles are great for how light they are. VG-10 is an outstanding blade steel in every regard. In my opinion for the 50-60 dollar price range your not going to get a better EDC knife. The Delica is my standard must-have.

I have a Delica 4 with the stainless handle and I love it . Great edc knife .
