Should I Buy A native5?

I was a fan of the Native III but never really took to the Native FRN that replaced it. The Native 5 made me a fan again. I have the EDC Forum Moonglow G10 version like in the image in Powernoodle's post and the S110V Forum knife and both are outstanding in form and function.

If you're in doubt search for reviews under the IDs ankerson and xavierdoc. You'll be impressed.

Well guys I was bidding on a s100v but it got too pricey for me. I absolutely love the patterned green g10 that it garnishes.
After reading all of the responses I'm pretty sure I'm going to order a N5 today. I've always loved the lines. I have a feeling it will soon become my daily carry.

So I have the opportunity to buy a Manix 2 Sprint CTS BD30P for a really, really great price. Conversely I've been talking to an individual about buying his Native 5 for a good price. I'm really quite torn. I want to pull the trigger on an N5, but it's hard to pass up a Manix2 Sprint for such a good price. I guess I'm just sharing my turmoil with everyone! :)

Sprint over regular production every time!

Well it's done! I've got a fresh Native 5 coming my way soon. Thank you everyone for sharing your insight and experiences. I'll report back with some macro(ish) photos and my thoughts on the knife.

That's the choice I would have made. I have an M2 in tan G10 & CTS-XHP. It's the first Manix or M2 that I've ever really liked. I'll keep it and carry it some. But it'll never replace the N5 and if I could only have one, I'd take the N5 every time.

Well I did some research and the Manix 2 sprint wasn't priced as low as I initially thought.
So I chose to go with the Native 5 which is essentially NIB but for 40 dollars less.
Win, win as far as I can tell.

I really want a N5, I love my Caly 3.5 for edc but there are times when I work in cities that wont allow over 3 inch blades.

I have 2 the standard black G-10 and the EDCF Moonglow version. I love them both. Very capable edc knife that is not too large, so it's not really threatening to non knife people. Feels good in hand, not too heavy, sharpens nicely. Only negative that I've had with them is the deployment is a little stuff at first, it took a few weeks of a break in period for it to become smoother. I say go for it, you will be satisfied.

The N5 is a great little tank of a knife.I really like the original Manix and that's the knife that made me really appreciate Spyderco products.I consider the N5 a smaller more refined version of the legacy Manix. The N5 is a well built mini pocket tank of a knife and carries very well in the pocket. The fluted ti model is my favorite Spyderco knife that I own.I look forward to future sprints of the N5 that may be in the pipeline.......
