Should I pull the trigger on the Paramilitary 3?

to JDX...I can understand that some folks are becoming "impatient" with your recurring similar threads. Perhaps you DO serve a purpose, as we have seen some good info posted here. I suppose that, since you keep asking for these comments, you'll have to learn to roll with the punch.
Maybe he just likes to hear others opinions,I certainly do .

I've had a Delica for years and it's still one of my favorite blades. When I wanted a little bigger knife I originally looked at the PM2, but it's bigger than I'm interested in for an EDC.

I ordered the PM3 and I like it a lot. I like the compression lock and the blade width and G10 are more substantial than my Delica. It won't replace the Delica, but it makes a great EDC. I don't mind how it rides in my pocket and I usually carry tip down which makes it ride a little lower on the pocket.

I plan to order another eventually but I'll probably wait to see the other offerings or add some custom G10 scales to it.

As far as comparing it to the Sage, it's different enough, I don't prefer the leaf shaped blade on the Sage, mostly because of aesthetics.

I had a pm2 but sold it. I still have my delica 4. So should I get another pm2 or get the pm3?
Go ahead and make your day!
Life's far too short to dwell on having second thoughts.
For as long as one still has the capacity to earn decent money,
There will be no end to the search for the perfect knife.
Many have bought and sold for all manner of reasons.
Nothing like pulling the trigger and finding out for one's self.
Besides, one hardly looses out on a spyderco.

No.I think they tryed to recreate the Endura-Delica dream team, but the PM3 is too small for a tactical and too big for an EDC.Buy a PM2,and put a custom low ride clip on it.You will still carry the Delica, but it will look awesome :)

Seems like the OP never pulls the trigger on any of these recommendations anyway but here is my quick recommendation for anyone else considering this option. If you didn't like the PM2, you will not like the Para 3 (my opinion). In the 3" blade realm, I prefer the Delica, it is much nicer to carry due its slim design (my opinion). If you want something different than the Delica, try the Sage 5. My overall opinion is the Para 3 would be nice for people who are restricted on blade length but really like the overall design of the PM2. If you are not restricted on blade length the PM2 is far superior (my opinion).

Still a good knife, but I wish it were more of a slimmed down version of the PM2 rather than its fat little brother...

Hey! I'm a fat little brother! What's wrong with that?

Lol I'm kidding. While I had a Para 3 for a minute I did immediately notice it's stockiness compared to the PM2. I think the dimensions lend themselves more to a smaller/tougher work knife, which in my mind is what the Para 3 is supposed to be.

That's why I figure the Para 3 and the Sage 5 can co-exist peacefully. You like a smaller, thinner Compression Lock knife? You got it.

You want a thicker Compression Lock knife you can thump on with the exact same confidence you have in your PM2s? You got that, as well.

"Should I buy a PM 3?"

Of course you should. What kind of question is that? In fact, buy two of 'em. Then do a giveaway.

And pick me first. :D

Just kidding. You have experience with the PM2 already, so I say buy the PM3, try it, and if you don't like it, sell it here. There's plenty of interest in Spyderco here, so moving it long later shouldn't be a problem.

Also, maybe do a comparison between the two over in the Spyderco forum here.
