  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Shouldn't every Friday be "Black Friday"

I like it, Kevin!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Is that a Kingston??
That's a good guess Gary... I would say either Camillus or Kingston. Camillus handled a lot of their later WWII with this cheap black plastic that deteriorates / shrinks frequently and based on the shrinkage I was thinking this is a mid-to-late 1940's Camillus. Either way it is from a good manufacturer, it has really great snap open/close and it's sharp enough I can shave with it... but I won't :D

I'd say you definitely qualify, Greg!:cool::)
Did you buy that knife in 1974, sort of trying to predict your future?? ;)

Ha! If I had it in '74 it would be beat up or more than likely lost long ago. :D I turned 16 that summer and my mind was on getting a car, and of course girls. :)

Thanks for the info, Kevin; glad you like it!:cool:

And those girls usually lead to grandkids, one way or another! :D
I was 22 in the summer of '74, and my '64 Barracuda was rusting away on me 5 years after I bought it, so my mind was on getting a car, too! ;) I ended up buying a Rambler (probably AMC by that time?) Ambassador from the USPS: steering wheel on the right, no rear seat. I only had it about 3 weeks before some teen high on drugs and driving his girlfriend's car totaled my "mail car" on the street in front of the apartment I had just moved into in Lafayette, IN. Fortunately, my Dad in Michigan hadn't sold my Barracuda for me yet, and I drove that for a couple more years before borrowing money from Grandma and buying a brand new '76 Toyota Corolla for $3000!

Hey! Does black lip pearl count for Black Friday?? I've been carrying this massive blinged-out Rough Rider canoe this week:
