Alright! Glad you like it, and I hope it gets more pocket time with you than it was getting for me.Ebony, happily purchased from memberJTB_5 . Needs some fiddling to increase its security and I'm stitching up a sheath this weekend to keep it closed in the pocket. With a few passes on a ceramic stick it's plenty sharp and a fun and handsome folder that scratches my Francophile itch.

It will. I have it apart now and it's clear how well assembled and substantial it is. It's quite nice and a few passes on the ricasso with a file should help. A ball detent would have been a nice touch, but it's best thought of as a slipjoint with a liner lock.Alright! You're right, friction folder is what I meant to type. I often confuse the two in speaking. There also seems to be just enough space between the backspacer and the edge to allow the blade to drop a bit and prevent the tip from being exposed when closed. I like the slight upswept shape of the Le Thiers design, so I don't want to drop the point any more. The pivot is also adjustable once the scales are off, so I'll be snugging it up a bit once I reassemble it. Fun!Or even a friction folder with a liner lock! I filed the ricasso down as much as I felt confident without causing damage or letting the blade get down to the spine. Post some pics when you've finished your modifications!
Thanks Gary. It's a favorite of mine. Those Rough Black Case models are very appealing, Alan!

Yes, it would be nice to see Buck use the charcoal diamond wood on their knives once again.I wish Buck would do more in this charcoal colored wood. So pretty.
