Flip Wilson?"Here come da Judge!"
(I think that was a recurring comedy sketch on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-in back in the late 1960s early 1970s.)

I think that's right, Mike, but I seem to recall that Sammy Davis Jr. also used to do it sometimes. Maybe those two guys were regulars on the show in different seasons.Flip Wilson?
A running gag, at least. Like "Do the name Ruby Begonia strike a familiar note?""Here come da Judge!"

I associate the judge and the Begonia with Sammy Davis Jr. I think he and Flip were both frequent visitors rather than regulars, and Flip soon had his own comedy-variety show.I think that's right, Mike, but I seem to recall that Sammy Davis Jr. also used to do it sometimes. It was hilarious, kids. Trust me, I'm old.

Look that up in your Funk'n'Wagnall's.
Thanks for some of your recollections about Laugh-In, Jer. It all seems so long ago, and my memories are not very clear. I don't remember Theresa Graves at all, even after going online to look her up. (I think Judy Carne was the woman on that show who most aroused my teenage lust.Theresa Graves! [*sigh*]
