My pleasure Gary. The Douk-Douk is a very interesting design. I did not realize they are a French design. My first thought was north African.

Thanks, Bob. The Douk-Douk was French-made, but originally designed for French colonies in the Pacific. That apparently didn't work out, but the knife was a success as an export to French colonies in North Africa. So your first thought is quite accurate!
