A great knife, useful for more than just sharpening a pencil.

I don't know about the blade steel; the stamp on the blade uses Japanese characters that I can't interpret. It's saber-ground like yours with the top part of the blade darker than the bottom, also like yours.
10 cm is just under 4 inches; I don't think my closed knife is that big, but maybe if I include the little tang extension?
