shout-out in support of 'Idaho Made'

When there are a dozen or so companies that simply put "Idaho" on the knives and people world wide imediately think of quality, then the stamp will mean something. To me, the CR logo means quality, but the Idaho Made Stamp is just an ugly blemish on an otherwise beatiful knife.

I love CRK. Hands down, they make the finest folders money can buy. I have had others, but continue to always come back to CRK. That said, I am PROUD to buy a knife that is made in USA. I also love that Chris puts " Idaho Made " on his knives. While it is indeed different than the usual " made in usa ", it is unique, just like CRK themselves. The "Idaho Made" has never ever bothered me and it being there will never hamper me from buying another CRK. I support it 110%

I personally like how he did it on the wc models. I felt the same as most at the begining and did not like the stamp much. Now I don't even notice it. After much debate I see Mr. Reeve as a pioneer and is trying to stay one step a head of the forgeries. I know a little about crk now and could easily spot a fake. But in 5-10 years when bday cards are lost and forgers getting better I will look back and thank him for giving me more details to check off the list to maintain its authenticity. Q

The fake CRKs all have "Idaho Made" on them as well. The engraving did nothing to help combat that issue. It's the CRK quality that seperates those knives and that will remain the only thing that seperates them. The gas heads that make those fake knives will just copy and match anything that CRK do, it's the CRK quality that they can't match.

I support it. I don't mind it one bit. I think that everyone is just over critical and over thinking this whole thing.

Support the man and his decision to put where the knife was made.

The WC version looks better because it's not upside down and backwards.

I'm all for pride in ones origins and am for putting a mark to show it but the implementation of the Idaho made is just poorly done and out of place in my opinion. A different classier font and placement of the stamp could have made it less out of place.

I've only owned one CRK with the "IM" stamp and am not a fan of it. I only buy CRKs without the stamp, just my preference.

Just my 2 observations:

1. To me, the inscription looks like it is upside down. If it was written the other direction, I do not think there would have been any controversy, or it would have been minor.
2. The inscription looks worse in pictures than it does in real life. I do not notice it much in real world use.

I can see using it and being proud of where you make them but not doing it as a huge banner. I will say that it is not as noticeable on my new 21.

I wish you could get it with or without the Idaho mark... Personally, I like it much better plain...

I have no issue with "Idaho made" on my sebs. I do however think it being placed on the lock bar would be more esthetically pleasing.

I love it I have carried a small for about 15 months l even bought a backup :-) 50 years of using a pocket knife they are the best its all about pride of your work ! Look at a Harley. milwaukee wis all over them WE are proud of the states we live in :-) Jake

I'm not crazy about it, but I really don't think about it until it's talked about on here. I do wish it was smaller like on the Wilson.

I didn't even know CRK existed until they already had Idaho Made. So it's just normal for me. Plus I think it's kind of cool/original.

I like it, I only buy USA made knives, and do think its cool when a knife says, I come from somewhere you think of, when you think of "The Great Outdoors", I also like to see the "Golden Co. USA Earth" on my Spyderco Paramiliary II's. I wouldn't want a knife that said Made in "Made in NY City". I am down with the Idaho made stamp.
