I recently purchased a Kershaw Wild Turkey Damascus from a fellow member and absolutely adore it. I've always like the lockback mechanism. Had a Buck 110 years ago and have a couple lockback Spydies. I'd like to find a more refined version of my Wild Turkey, maybe a custom or just a supremely refined productio model.

The search seems to be a bit difficult. Most sites are geared toward modern folders and the traditionals you do fine are mostly slip joints. So I thought I'd turn to my fellow members for some ideas.

Show me your lockbacks please and list their makers.

Wow, I think that's the very first knife I ever had. I was told my grandfather bought it for me the day I was born. It was actually given to me when I turned 6 I believe. Someone stole it when I was 8 or 9. Left it on a chair when I went in to eat supper. Gone when I came back out. I never knew what it was, but it had that same peculiar shape to the bottom of the handle.

My two favorite.

Here's a couple, by 'Schrade-Wostenholm' and EKA

Nothing wrong with the Buck 110 except maybe size, been a strong workhorse for decades. The Great Eastern #42 is another nice lock back that is pocketable.

Here is my only lockback. It is a Grohmann Mini Russell R340S. Made in Canada (Nova Scotia) and patterned after their D.H.Russell Belt Knife. They make a larger version, but I wanted something handy for pocket carry and I think this one's just right. Has a great feel and excellent design. Rosewood handles are nice.

I favour lock-backs and Traditional liner-lock/slipjoint set up.

Here's my latest, 99 Wall St in Stag

Buck 501 Squire, Buck 503 Prince, Buck 55, Case Mini Copperlock, Case Mini Copperlock, CRKT Centofante, Kershaw Indian Ford. I also have a couple Rough Rider double lockbacks that I didn't feel like digging out. I'm a bit of a lockback junkie, although I don't have as many as some. Hoping to add a Klein 44034 like my Dad carries.

Here's a circa 1970 locking Barlow made by Solar in Japan. You push down on the pen blade to release the lock.
