I'm over it. I just put fire straws in the pouch with a ferro rod and a small sharping stone in case I miss the 3 day deadline. :)
I did test the stone and it works great as a striker for the ferro. It was a thought that popped in my head and I just had to know if it would work.

no need to hide it under the handles anymore :D

I stuffed a bunch of cotton balls between the handles of my BK2 but never used them because it was such a pain to take off the scales just to get out the cotton balls. I keep an allen wrench in my altoids tins because when I'm batoning a lot of wood over the course of a week while camping I usually loosen a handle scale at least once.
