Just sent Neil a couple e-mails.

I _need_ one of those solid-handle Neck Ninja's. The 3/16" HD version is fine, or the 1/8" stock version with a solid handle.

Either or, just gotta have one!

I like scales ones about a MILLION times more than the standard Japanese-looking wrapped ones.

Keith,

TOO BAD you're cut OFF!! The friendly unofficial brotherhood of KNIFE NUTS has CUT YOU OFF untill further notice!! You MAXED OUT the amount of knives one can recieve in a week!! :p Thanks for the FANTASTIC picture by the way. I hope it's OK if I use that one on my website??

Thanks Dennis :)

Michael,
That is my Neck Ninja HD (heavy duty) model. 5/32" D2, tapered tang, 7 1/2" OAL, 3 5/8- 3 3/4" blade. That particlar model was dubbed "PAIN IN THE A$$" here at the shop!!! That's the third set of scales I put on the knife :( One of the drawbacks of working with this type of wood is that it often reveals flaws....BUT, not untill the handle has been glued, mosaic pinned and profiled to the final shape  Keith was very patient through all this and I thank him for that!!

Neil

PS, I'm making MYSELF one in Damasteel, possibly with a bare, non tapered, skeletonized tang. Kenny Rowe is already on call for the sheath......Merry Chistmas TOOOOOOOOOOOO MEEEEEEEE :D

Neil,
Thanks for the quick reply. I've e-mailed you privately as well.

I WANT ONE!!!

As I recall, anything OVER 3.5" (but 3.5" is OK) is considered a weapon here in Colorado. 3 5/8" would be pushing it, but I wouldn't dare go over that for EDC. "Concealed weapons" are generally considered a bad thing. Funny -- I can get a concealed-carry firearms permit no problem, but not for a knife >3.5"!

Mike

Hey Buddy, how are thing's going ?? WOW,that sucker look's nice, you never cease to amaze me !!! I read the post's on the CPM S30V (knife review's and testing), sound's like i might of hit the nail on the head with that !! If your still willing and you have the time, i'll be waitng for Neck Ninja HD # 2 in stainless 3V !! The only problem is that your knive's are so DAMN NICE that i'm almost scared to use it and scratch the blade !! All the guy's at the department are in AWE when i pulled it out to show them !! If any of you out there are looking for a well made knife that's a tough SOB and easy as hell to carry, check out the HD it's one BAD BLADE !!

Take Care, Mario C. AKA-Box27 :D

Mike-

looks like Neil has already answered your queries :D It's an AWESOME knife!!!

Neil-

Please feel free to use that image or this one - Emersons included to give a scale to the knife[the wood doesnt look as good in this one though]. Unfortunately the wife cut me off before the brotherhood ever got the chance to step in ;)
Thanks again!!!

Mario-

About using it- it just cuts so good I think I'll have to!! :p

I picked up the small hunter this morning.

The pictures do not do th knife justice. Looks much better in person.

I will also say that Neil does the best filework I have ever seen.

He has now moved up to my favorite fixed blade maker. :)

Dennis,

You made my morning!! I hope this carries through my LONG day ahead in the shop!!

The Kenny Rowe Neck Ninja sheaths arrived yesterday and are FANTASTIC!!! As soon as I finish another knife to put in one, I'd like to start a Kenny Rowe thread to get more ideas on what's available from him. Begining with the next group, ALL my Hunters will be going to him for leather sheaths.

Leo,

BIG slasher-small package :)

Neil

Neil,

Looks like we're gonna be neighbors soon - I plan on paying you a visit and getting one of your awesome blades as soon as I can!

Leo

I've been carrying my Ninja HD in a high ride cross draw sheath from Kenny Rowe. I wanted something different so Kenny used cape buffalo for an inlay. It really looks sharp. ;) On second thought......it is sharp. :D

At what point can I consider myself a Blackwood addict?

Leo,

You are welcome any time. Let me know when you hit Florida??

Michael,

It will be on the way tomorrow :)

Dennis,

Thanks for putting the Kenny Rowe idea in my head. I can't wait to send him some hunters :) The past month has been a pleasure, I really appreciate your support.

Neil

Neil,

The wife and I should be arriving in Tampa by the end of the year. I'll let you know when we're there.

Leo

Great pics guys. But you really are not making the wait for one of my own any easier... :D

Andrew Limsk

I have a medium hunter with black/gray g-10 scales on the way. The kicker is that Neil is making this one out of.... S30V!
