Show me your Blur!

Looks like the same buyer got the first two that ended, so someone doubled up. Still in the same range where I bought mine so I'm glad to see the value is holding. Three from the same seller was a neat thing to see. I'm guessing that might not happen again for a long time haha :)

I was so surprised that they sold for where they did for how limited they were. I think that the buyer who bought both is probably a bf member.. just sayin'.

I always search a sellers other items when there is a knife I want to buy. I remember looking at his other items also and those other two CFGRN Blurs did not show up. Very strange.........

I have noticed discrepancies in search results between the actual phone app and a regular web based search. I once got an email about a green Zing being up for auction that I couldn't find with a regular search, but when I downloaded the phone app it was there. Strange or I just suck at searching that place. Congrats on the pick up by the way.

You can get the latest and coolest tactical colors (tan/OD) Blurs every day for only $52 and $53 shipped. I have a hard time spending more for other colors. What is the most others are willing to pay?

It sounds like others are willing to pay well into 3-figures for rare, discontinued models. Most of the rarest also have blades of premium or super-steels, if not composite blades of one or more premium/super-steels.

It all depends on what is important to you. If you want a GREAT knife in awesome colors, then the current list of Blurs with 14C28N blades are more than enough. If you want S30V or CPM154, then you're going to have to pay right around a c-note (hopefully I'm not stepping out of bounds here). I can't recall off the top of my head any others that are out there right now that have premium steels. BTW, I believe the S30V model also has carbon-fiber inserts instead of the rubber traction inserts (can't remember exactly what you call that stuff). But I also believe that was a limited edition, and is getting difficult to find already.

Me? I wanted the all-aluminum spiderwebbed blurs in CPM154, for two reasons. I preferred (at the time, maybe not so much now, not sure) the all aluminum instead of the inserts; the CPM154 blades were gravy.

Hope that answers your question.

If you look at completed auctions on the bay you can get a pretty good idea what people are willing to pay for things.

The S30V has the trak-tek inserts like any normal Blur. The CF Blur has a blade of CPM-154.

Good point on upgraded steel like S30V. I was just referring to the common blur steel they now use.

Thanks for straightening that out, KnottyEagle. Now I remember why I was considering the CF Blur: the CPM154. Wouldn't have considered paying the extra just for carbon fiber with S30V. But CPM154... 'nuther story.

Roger. I was thinking too much into your question.
