Throughout the entire removal process... or just for the finish?

Looks great... makes me want to have it done to mine.

.

I used the platen to get the final line straight. The bevels were ground freehand without the platen (which chattered too much). I think I did that one on my old Harbor Freight 1" x 30".

I know that some knifemakers use files to cut in things like bevels/swedges. I have started to gind a clip on a SARSquatch, it was slow going. Hope to finish with the 40x belts that are in-bound.

If I was a knife maker, I might have known that. I was trying to do it all with my little machine.

FBMLE the clip (not sharp) and the hand shaped handles were done by Bill Siegle.

love the swedge/clip point stuff, resinguy that is a awesome looking blade, if you handle some of the randall models the swedge is as sharp as the belly of the knife, how do i know that, from experience.

Bigfattyt, That FBMLE did it come with the clip or did you have that done?
That's one awesome looking setup you've got there.:thumbup:

It was done by Bill Siegle. I got it that way from him. He is a custom knife maker who also uses Busse. He will occasionally put one up for sale or trade, and he does his own mods occasionally (being a custom knife maker, he has all the equipment).

That one was my first Infi.

Mr Siegle really did a great job on your FBMLE, Who sells the braided handguard on your knife. I don't guess Busse makes a regular production model like your fbmle, or out of the custom shop do they. The eye candy is nice too. Thanks,:)

I'll take it!

I wasn't expecting that, LOL. I guess I should not mention that I have it's pristine twin brother (I don't think all of the 14 NO-e clip points have the quilted micarta) as well as it's pristine cousin, a 1 of 7 NO-e clip point recurve!!!:foot::barf: But if it makes you feel any better, they are all .5" thick!!! ;) Such a giver, ain't I???:p:D

I remember that one.
And really appreciate you letting me get to try her out!

That pass around was one of the best things I've done since finding Busse knives. I was glad to let some others give her a good workout. She now has a place of honor as my go-to camp knife and hiking knife when I don't want/need a chopper, seeing even more field time than my ABA.

Don't really care about pristine - send me the user
