Show me your clip point / false edges !!

While we're pullin' out variations of the NO-e... ;)

This one has false edges, a clip point, and is a triple grind variant all in one. The second grind further back on the spine from the tip is also hollow ground. :D

I like a clip point on a knife and find them very useful....some I have done myself....others were bought with a clip which usually have a false edge...and I like bringing the edge to life and giving it purpose...here is a 3B2 which I wanted to keep painted as the cammo serves a useful purpose but being painted it is very hard to find a strike point for a ferro rod other than the main edge...so to create a solution I gave the knife a clip using a belt sander. ( The knife now belongs to Lui Kang )

I also stripped a SJTAC variant which came with a serrated clip which was blunt and re-profiled the edge and clip to a very sharp convex edge and rounded the skull crusher on the tang. This is my sharpest Busse...and may well be my sharpest knife....and works brilliantly....

I also picked up a FSH Custom Shop Variant with a serrated clip....again for the same reasons as the clip works well for ferro rod use, removing foilage for a field of view for shooting, enables doing bone work such as Atlas joints on carcass work without deamaging the main edge...

In similar fashion I sharpened up the swedge and edge on a Jackhammer CE....thinning the edge slightly gave this knife a "scalpel" edge.... this one has now been sold but the new owner loves it..

Aside from Busse's I have also sharpened the clip on my RMD's ....

I love the RMD knife... one of the best "users" in the Bussekin line...and the swedge being sharp is a great asset... I have as many again other knives which feature sharpened swedges/clips and they too all work well. For me it is a very useful feature.

Great knives Peter. I'm loving that last one - did you buy the rmd like that or is the swedge an addition?

Here's an Ergo Badger Attack with a clip:

The clip runs the whole length of this BATAC:

No I stripped the knife and did the swedge myself....when I first did it the knife had a finish on it beneath the paint which was some sort of secondary bead blast type layer....

But after time and use the coating wore away as per the pic above.....

There are some lovely knives in this thread  Definately some that would make great "users".... I seriously like Jaxx's No-e clip and Rick's Ergo Badger Attack... especially the blade size of the Badger Attack.... also love the extra lashing holes in the grip .... if you ever want to part with that one Rick... let me know...;) Ditto Jaxx and the No-e....

For serious use I think the Ergo grips with smooth hand filling scales like on the above knives are the best Busse has done....
