I guess I have a different definition of "grail" as compared to most here. To me, a grail knife is one that is almost unattainable, whether by virtue of there only being a few out there, or maybe has been discontinued for years. It's one that others may have never heard of, but you've wanted one ever since you saw/heard about it years earlier. Now, if you wanted a Sebenza made by Chris Reeve before he came to the US, THAT would qualify.( I don't think there is a pre-US Sebbie, thus the mythical GRAIL part) If you want a pre-1964 Marble's Trailmaker with a particular spacer pattern, that would qualify. Or a Springfield Randall, a Bill Moran ST-23, or maybe a Jerry Fisk bowie from before he got his Master stamp, and don't have the money, those would qualify. But, in my opinion, calling a production folder that came out two years ago a GRAIL knife is somewhat silly. Now, if you were to find that same knife for the first time TWENTY years from now.....

Edited to add: My next 'grail' is a first generation SOG Tomcat in excellent condition. Had one when they first came out, but traded it away, like an idiot...
