I know stag is all the rage, but horn is really beautiful too. Can be any kind of horn, but I'll just show some of my ram's horn--I love the semi-translucent greens and browns you get. Let's go!!

And finally all of them together, for sizing!

BRING ON THEM PICS!!!

That guthook skinner is beautiful and mean looking one... Kissing cranes handles aren't bad looking either. Very beautiful knives, each and everyone of them.

Ram's Horn is quite possibly my favorite handle material and yet I own none.

Nice. I really wish I had jumped on one of those RAT Railsplitters when they were around. I kick myself every day.

I've got one of the RAT rail splitter's as well...a gift from my good friends Jeff Randall & Mike Perrin a couple years back.

Hey Psst...Google can find you one. I found one....

Blues, that Dan Farr hunter is a meat eater. You need to show it some sport!

That knife can do it all...trust me. It's a solid hunk of sharpened steel that's ready to slice, hack or chop it's way through whatever is in its path!

(The scales are mortised for an unbelievably comfortable and secure feel in the hand. I only wish the image captured the beauty and translucence of the scales more. They are a deeper shade of green than the image portrays.)

OK you asked for it! :D

One I had for a few years now.

One I just finished making.

And a priming horn for a flinter.;)

Nice work, Dave!! Makes me wish I was into black powder. I found an old Powder horn (cow) about thirty years ago, and gave it to my Dad to use.
Are those red beads whitehearts??

I am adding knives to keep on track here, so the ever-vigilant moderators do not give me heck!:o

Two horn handled knives, made by the early founders of Imperial! The knives found their way into the Schrade Factory Collection, and were sold off by the buyers of the collection. Knives with some history!

I see you also know something about beads.:) They are all old Venetian's and yes those particular red ones are whitehearts.
Now I'd better add a knife too! ;) I wasn't trying to hijack this thread.... just clowning. :D

Hi,

Wow so much great looking horn! I didn't think horn was that popular for knives. I really like the Kissing Cranes.

Absintheur, what is the one at the right of your photo? That one just stops me in my tracks!

The best horn I have is my GEC in red buffalo

Great examples! Charlie, that Mirando is something else!:thumbup:

Here's a few, starting out with a very early Ulster horn sleeveboard and an American Knife Co. pen:

Eric, that CS rams horn swingguard is just great! Is it the big one or the cub, and what steel did they use? I've never even seen that one before, anywhere.
