show me your kitchen knives

My contributions to the BF universe and her many subforums involve two different types of content:

1-fairly (completely) jackassish commentary that hopefully makes at least 0.003% of the audience smile, if not chuckle

2-commentary that attempts to communicate how absolutely spellbound I find myself at times when given the chance to bask in the glory of the timeless beauty you folks create and release into the world.

This here post would be more along the lines of a 2 if I could find some words. Thank you all. I need to go finely slice a tomato or something.

I laughed out loud at this... because I can totally relate! I don't have words to compliment the art in this thread, but I'll just put it simply... Ditto^^^

Some of my production Kitchen knives, all N690.

This thread has me dreaming...
My next custom has got to be a kitchen knife of some type. I find it funny how few custom knife aficionados (myself included) use custom kitchen knives. I can't think of a more practical user. After all, I don't really need a perfect knife for everyday carry, but a beautifully designed and executed chef's knife makes cooking so much more pleasurable.
The examples in this thread are exquisite.

Here is a gyuto I finished yesterday for my mom for Christmas, just my second kitchen knife ever. Blade is about 9"--I'd measure for exact dimensions but it's under the tree in a box.

CPM 154CM with 416 bolsters and Texas Ebony scales. I used mosaic pins because Mom likes them.

and the main reason i started the thread. show off a bit and see what guys/gals are using. while i know we got a mix of makers showig what they made and owners showing off the "house" knives i just hope that this can stay more balanced to the owners showing off and not so much the makers just posting the latest finished

do understand that im not wanting makers to shy away after all its good to see what is out there being made also

In that spirit, here are some customs that see everyday use. Some Burt Fosters, some Kramers, a Vox, and a Nathan Carothers.

I've only made a couple of kitchen knives. Here they are.

Here's another paring knife I madr for this years Christmas kith. 15N20 with Gabon ebony and curly anigre.

Here's the first kitchen knife I made. A WA santoku also with Gabon ebony and curly anigre.

Here is one that I have had done for several months and recently put a handle on it.
Blade steel is S110V at 63, Handle is some Pink Ambrosia Maple my wife picked out at Blade.
Very Light Convex Grind to .004" behind the edge. This is the most wicked cutter I have ever used.
