I don't think I have any leather-handled sheath knives anymore, given them all away. Need to buy more! :D

I've seen a few penknives which have been re-handled with leather, and thought they looked pretty nice

When I was a lad about 13 their was an old guy who lived next door to my grans house . he was one of them old fellers that was always tinkering in his shed . and I remember having a fascination with a slip joint he carried . it had 3 blades and grey leather scales with a slight furry texture . and I have never seen anything like it since :)

Very interesting :) I know that this has been discussed before here, but I can't remember where. ADEE, who posts in the OLD Knives thread occasionally, has a few knives he's recovered with leather strips. It seems to be a simple way to replace damaged scales, and they do look quite nice :)

I have a rough old knife I picked up on my travels (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1122616-This-week-s-score-(There-s-more-)-)/page4 - post 63), which I am thinking of re-hafting with a rough leather wrap, which kind of goes with the knife

I think Layla The Savage of 70's Doctor Who fame had such a knife! :D

Have only one knife with a leather handle and it looks a lot like the one in the first picture. It was issued to me while I was in the Air Force and this year I will be retired for 32 years. Dyed it black while I was in the Air Force.

Hi very nice:thumbup: yours is the original version of my Ontario in my PIC . I would love to have an old one :)

I like stacked leather handles a lot - the slight resilience feels good in the hand. Here's my Blackjack 1-7. I also have a Blackjack 125 that I dearly love, with nice stag handles, but the stag feels so hard to my hand. It looks great, but for real use I prefer good old leather.

Very nice zuchus

Buck made the BuckSkin series of small gentleman's folders. Inlaid with various exotic leathers like shark, alligator, eel, etc. I don't have a picture, but I think it's model 529.

Nice sheaths guys  but can we keep it to knives please . I don't want this these disappearing to sheaths forum :D thanks guys
