Show me your modified knives!

I like messing around with stuff, and a few days ago it occurred to me that I could modify some of my knives. I would love to see some of yours, for inspiration :thumbup:

I wish I could show this latest one I have done, but alas, I spent my camera money on a knife! I can only tell you of it. It is the Ontario Retribution 1, the BIG one. I began by taking it apart to give the liner lock more bend to mak it stiffer. Then I polished the liners and blade tang where they rotate, along with the pivot. Next I sanded the handles to where there is only a slight swell in the middle of each one, and may end up just going completely flat with them. After this I took a foldover pocket clip I had from a cheapie, shortened it to 1 3/4" in length as I like a short clip. From here I placed the clip at the very rear of the handle, drilled the holes, put quick set JB Weld in the holes, and atached the clip with larger 4-40 screws, and there is NO wiggle in that clip! I can now carry it with only 1/8" of the handle showing! Granted I don't carry it to work, but after work and weekends will see going in my pocket on a regular basis. Rides really well for its size and weight, and with the flattended scales, it rides more comfortable.

LOL I sure hope not! I fixed a buddie's Emerson (his was in utter despair, had abused it for a good 5 years) and thought that I would do that to one of my knives. My Ener-g is up next!

What's your aim? do you want to modify it to suit your needs,
Or do you want to PIMP your knife?

My only real modification so far has been that I sanded out sheepshoof in my Case stock man to make it more low rider. Case have great stockmen, but usually their sheepshoof blade is rides too high for comfy pcoket carry. So I modded sheepshoof to ride lower. I am happy with results.

If I showed mine I would be laughed at, and most people would be at a loss as to why I even bought the knife and spent the time... Awesome modifications in here though... Then again, it is a fixed blade, not a folder...

WOWEE!! Love that JYDII.:thumbup::thumbup: The blade shape is great and I like it a lot. Are those add on scales you made or did you modify the original scales? Either way it is nice.

So yesterday I sanded down the spine to make my 2010 more of a spearpoint:

Made these handles out of corian,& polished all the screw heads,lock bar,standoffs.blade was made by a guy out west,using the original blade as a template.
