Well, the only thing I've seen of mine is tan, a tan card from USPS saying, 'Sorry we missed you.' I'll have to go pick it up at the post office but luckily I'll be able to get there before lunch tomorrow. AND I will be at the beach next week so I'll have plenty of time to check it out.

Whoah! Mine just arrived a few minutes ago. After getting it out of the box (no small feat I assure you) and unwrapping it (another task) I have to say this thing is awesome.

The rounded spine makes it look like less than .25" and the smoothed handles are darned comfy (so far.)

I've already talked to Dan and Spen at JRE Industries about hooking me up with some custom leather for this monster. They've done several other leather rigs for my INFI already so I'm anxious to see what they can do with this one.

I think I'm going to go down there and wait for the sheath as I don't really want to be without my new blade for long. :)

I'll try and snap some pics of it shortly.

Woo-Hoo!!!

Here is my first attempt to post pics. First one is my NMFBM and the second is where I smacked the heck out of a screw head that I didn't see, oops. Have I mentioned that I love this knife? I was whaling away on some tree limbs that I had just taken down, adjusting the lanyard (very necessary with this knife!) and was using some old treated lumber as my backing and hit a two inch wood screw. I think it gives my knife character. Of course, I will be more careful of adding "character" from now on. This might be one of the best edges I have ever received directly from Busse. It is truly shaving sharp. I know that term is thrown around alot but this knife shaves hair without effort. Me likey.

Damned hard to say whether that's a chip or a dent. But those screws are bloody tough, and they're hardened, so.. But on a big knife like that, I wouldn't even try to sharpen it out, let dings live a life of their own. :D Good looking knife, and exactly the combo that I shall be getting, unless the bastards at customs steal it. :D

hey, glad you were able to get pics up.

now, try editing that post, and put a line in between the two IMG tags. that should put one pic below the other, instead of running off the screen.

i know that ding had to hurt, same thing happened to my CG FBM while wailing on a downed tree, the edge found a piece of broken saw blade buried in the wood :grumpy:

It just came in and it's incredible!!!! All I can say is WOW!!

Here's a crappy pic with my FBM LE:

That is a nice ding.
I can't tell from the picture, but if the material is still there you should be able to steel some of it back into place.

Thanks for the tip Resinguy. I am kind of excited now that I know how to post pics. I am always open to more tips on pics and whatnot. BTW, it is definitely a chip, the metal was there at first and then I said "sh*t" and touched it and the metal flake came off completely. But like I said in the first post I whacked the heck out of that screw and this just guarantees that I won't change my mind and put her back in the safe. My fault, no fault of the knife.

Well, I just got back from lunch and there was a long box waiting for me at my office door. "Hmm. I wonder what that could be?" I have a black/black NMFBM in the office! Wow. This sucker is BIG. It looks cool. The handles are very comfy. But brother, I have to tell you, it is some kind of SHARP. By "sharp", I mean "straight razor". Literally. I took a casual swipe down the side of my forearm and zzzzzzzzip- all the hair popped off. I don't think Ban will need to do much work on the NMFBMs- their edges are pretty close to perfect. At least, mine is.
One thing to note- my new blade has a slight recurve to it. It's subtle, and it's not enough to make sharpening difficult, but it is definitely there. Very cool.

This is not a knife to be trifled with. I took a light chop into a Fed-Ex box stuffed with paper, and I'll be damned- I went all the way through the box and into the carpet. I've never chopped a box completely in half with one swipe before. Now THAT is what I like to see. REAL ULTIMATE POWER!!!! I'm actually kinda scared of the thing. If it gets away from you, you could do some real damage. It wouldn't take much to sever your own leg if you were careless.

Caution is the word with the NMFBM, my friends! This aint your grandpappy's Battle Mistress!

Anyone who didn't score one of these is bound to regret it. Other FBMs are amazing. The NMFBMs are going to be LEGENDARY.

Great work, Busse team!

Hey there Elen, what's going on bud. I am getting insanely jealous looking at all of these, I ordered Sage blade Black G10 scales. I can't wait to get my hands on it and take it out and use the crap out of it.

Moonwilson is right. These can get away from you if you're not careful. The lanyard is a must on this one.
