Show me your traditional lockbacks!

ED, I remember when the burnt stag Northfields first came out in this #72, with the cut swedge, long pull, triple lined bolster: I thought it was the best looking GEC ever and couldn't get any better. Well, when the red stags came out I knew I was wrong! Yours is gorgeous, too, great character.

Here are a couple of my lockbacks, they are both Bucks with micarta handles. It looks like the 501 was rebladed and spent some time at the Buck Spa.

Very nice knives and images Kris, per the usual. I particularly like the shot on the anvil. Look to be a nice old anvil, possibly a Hay Budden? Nice clean top, decent edges looks like it would be a pleasure to work on. Enjoy your weekend, take care.

Chris

Thanks Chris, the anvil is my friends, ABS Master Smith Jon Christensen. We were forging mosaic damascus that day.

The Spire is a great little knife but with a thumbstud and a pocket clip it doesn't qualify as a Traditional knife. I'll edit the thread title and add traditional.

Böker, Germany, stag. Very small this one but a lot of character!
I like the stag, Will. I picked this one up not long ago. Very nice little knife in Thuya wood and Damascus.

Appreciate that Gary! These are very tidy small LBs yours in Dam is very impressive. Böker do a decent knife, Kris showed a very nice Dam lockback of theirs not long ago. Fact is, I've been pleased with all my Böker Germany knives.

Regards, Will

I knew I liked lockbacks but this knife has me convinced, lockbacks are where it's at. The CSC pinch lockback in D2 and semi-translucent red micarta.

Don't tell anyone but you can totally open this thing with one hand.

That's a fine pair. I have the Moki, and handled a Tascosa. Probably the two nicest lockbacks I've ever held in my hand.

I love this thread! Lockbacks are my favorite, even though I carried a two blade slip joint today, and might all weekend, too.

Cutco Bullwhip, aluminum scales. Feather light even with the 3.5" blade and the scales almost act like an amplifier for the nice solid "talkback." I've had one of these in my pocket most of the summer so far. Even fits in my bike shorts.

Ka-bar, ala Buck 110. I love the size of these things but I also don't like using a sheath. No, it's not a Banana in my pocket.. :D

Two more bullwhips. I get all giddy every time I pick up this rosewood one. It's probably my favorite knife.

Cutco copperhead, almost the same pattern as the bullwhips.

Smaller and easier to carry than the ka-bar coppersmith, which I love even though I've only had it a week:
