Show me your traditional lockbacks!

Brumby, your Japanese knife reminded me of my Mother's Japanese lockback that was given to her by Paul Klipsch in 1976. It says "440 Stainless 936 Japan" on the back.

She carried it for decades but then tossed it somewhere, and eventually found it and gave it to me. It was in pretty rough shape. I set the rivet to tighten it up, gave it a quick sharpening, and polished the bolsters up. Then I gave it back to her and now it's in her purse again :D

Forgot to take a picture with it all shined up though! I guess I'll take one during it's next oil change.

Looks cool with my factory custom Cutco folding hunter (they never made a knife like this, but they did have a Buck 110 copy).

I keep posting this picture, so apologies if you're fed-up with it....no. However, this might well be the best knife I've bought this year and I've been pleased by many.

Here are two nice lockbacks of mine, both Queen made, one in ATS-34 and one in D2. These see lots of carry & use.

Most kind Mike! :) A well made knife too without any hint of issues. It may have put a stop to knife-lust, well for a bit anyway...:D:D

Thanks, Will

I'm enjoying this thread - the journey from the early Buck 110's & 112's the various clones that followed, the beaut Bokers all the way through to the superb modern production knives and fabulous custom knives
A couple of mine. A well 'pocket worn' 112 and my modern favorite a GEC #42
