I've seen a few Knife with matching fire-steel combinations out there. I would LOVE to see more! I am going to have a custom set made soon and would love to see some fine examples and collections. The dream is to have two knives, one large 9 + inch blade chopper, one medium 5-7 inch blade, and a fire-steel, all matching. Lets see what you got.

11x11x,
Those are both really nice sets! I really like the piggy back sheath, and intend to go for something similar myself. Did you build the sets or did you have them commissioned that way or buy them as a set? Thank you for sharing! Lets have MORE PICTURES!

I carry a set-up just like this. The photo is from JRE, the maker of the sheath. I have two main packs with this same set-up for each one.

Here is one with green canvas micarta in kydex:

Birdseye maple burl (customer is making his own sheath), there wasn't enough left over from the knife scales so I had to laminate some thin scraps for the handle on the firesteel :

Sure. Most of them are Bark River knives unless otherwise noted...

Top set (orange G-10 w/ black liners):
-KSF Machete
-Fallkniven A2 with custom handle
-Fallkniven F1 with custom handle (no black liners)
-Ultralite Bushcrafter

Leftmost set (Limited Edition black G-10/yellow liners/brass hardware):
-Golok
-Northstar
-PSK

Top left (antique stag bone):
-Canadian Special
-Mini Canadian

Center (Osage orange):
-Hudson Bay camp knife
-Kephart
-Little Creek

Right top (green canvas micarta):
-Bravo-1

Right bottom (natural elder burl):
- Knife I built at Bark River Grind-In '09

The bottom picture in my last post is a RAT RC-4. The Bark River custom firesteel in matte black linen micarta is pretty close match to the normal gray/black micarta used on the RAT Cutlery line :) Here's a pic to show it. Sorry it's a little dark.

Well done matching different makes and models there! I'm impressed and relieved. It would seem I'm not the only one obsessed with matching sets :D
