  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Show me yours???

I picked these two up at a flea market for $5.00 each. Anyone know if they're any good?
Wouldn't that be a hoot! Did you make the firesteel on the bottom photograph? The top one looks different in each photograph. Different lighting maybe.

Hey Iboschi, sorry for the delay. I just checked this thread again. The top knife is made by Jamie Cappel. To my knowledge he is not on bladeforums. His website is here:

Very nice guy and a great knifemaker.

The bottom one is made by our very own Stomper, aka John of JK Knives. I actually have another special fire kit we worked on Friday and today. I'm a big fan of his fire kits. It makes a lot of sense to have one on your belt and keep your bigger camp knife in your pack, IMHO.

I bought both the firesteel blanks and made deer antler knobs for them. The top one is the same in both photos; it's flipped over in the second shot.

Stay sharp,
