COME ONE! COME ALL! Gather round for another Reprobates and Reprobates in training Show and Tell!

For your posting and viewing pleasure, and to help another forum member get plenty of his favorite pattern to see, we are now showing Moose, Equal End Trapper, and Muskrat patterns. Nothing too old, nothing too new, nothing too low end, and certainly, nothing wrong with you fellows showing off your fancy stuff! And we know some of you are gonna have some zingers!

I'm starting the show off with some simple, honest fare. This isn't one of my big patterns so I don't have a lot, but I like 'em and have started to appreciate the Moose/Equal End Trapper more..

Top left going clockwise: Camillus CCC-2 .30-30 Win Classic Cartridge. A 1988 Camillus in Exc condition with strong walk and talk. I lucked into that one on eBay for $5 plus shipping. <woohoo!> A Schrade 787 Improved Muskrat (that bit me while closing the blades after scanning a moment ago.), and finally, a Rough Rider in Awbaloney, er I mean Abalonite.

Now it's up to you folks to show off the good stuff.
Amos

This Ebony black Behemoth has (apparently) the first ever tang stamp from the state of Mississippi. Commissioned in the U.S.A, by the guy who operates vintageknives.com out of, you guessed it, Mississippi (spell that three times!)! Nearly 4" long and with massive blades, it is truly a Moose!

Two Schrade Waldens from the factory collection (sniff) from the now-gone Schrade factory.

I'm not a huge fan of the Muskrat pattern, but I like the larger Moose.

Case (Case Brothers Stamp) 6275 Antique Bone

I wonder if that knife was made by Camillus, or maybe Schrade??? Nice one, Vince!

Larry, that Winchester equal end has me running for the slobber towel. I'm almost positive that's the same frame as my Queen/Dan Burke Rancher and it has the same bowtie shield. I'm guessing it's a big handful of knife, correct?

Waynorth, I was under the impression that all the black box Winchesters were made by Queen. Is that not correct? I very well may be mistaken. That Vintage Knives brand moose is gorgeous by the way.

These are: 1991 Camillus CCC-2 Bush Pilot pattern with bone handles and Winchester 30-30 inert cartridge shield (Hey Amos we're packin the same knife!), 1987 Cripple Creek Knife World 2nd Edition, Schatt & Morgan Series XVI Railsplitter Moose in Bradford Green Bone.

Great thread!

This is my last one, a Hawbaker Schrade Muskrat. The etch is clear, it's just a scanner reflection that makes it look "doubled".

Yes, Vince, it's the bone that makes yours a killer knife! And the grooved bolsters!!

Gotta Love a Hawbaker. That is on my want list,Nice one Charlie.
Vince

LBG, I meant Vince's Muskrat. Sorry I wasn't clear on my post. Indeed the Winchester was made by Queen, a nice knife also!
BTW Vince, how long is that Winchester "wannabe"?

Charlie,4" closed on that one.

You are up early, Vince. I couldn't sleep (it's 4:18 a.m. here), so where am I?? BF!! I need a 12 step program!

You guys make me drooool!!!!!
This is my absolute alltime favourite pattern, so you showing off your goodies makes this day an extremely good day. :D
As this IS my favourite pattern, I have a couple myself, but being only a beginner-collector, unfortunately only a couple.

Ok, so here goes

First out my Remingtons:
Bottom is an R4356SB Silver Bullet "Bush Pilot" with bone scales and a silver bullet shield (that needs to be polished).
Upper left is its poor brother, the R4356 Bullet "Bush Pilot" with delrin scales.
Upper right is their little brother, the R4466 Muskrat, also with delrin scales.
Starting off collecting, I was unfortunately too late to find the R4466 Silver Bullet. But the hunt for a pristine of those is still on!! :D

And lastly (unfortunately) my Winchester and my Case:
The bottom one is a Case 2094SP Muskrat in brown rogers bone.
The top one is a Winchester W15 2991 equal ended muskrat with black jigged bone scales.

Unfortunately, that sums it up for me at the moment, being at the beginning of my collecting days as I am.
Finding this pattern in Europe isn't easy, and I haven't been able to locate many americal dealers (with these types of knives) that want to ship to Europe.
However, part of the fun collecting these things is looking for them. And I'll keep on doing that!!! :D

Nice ones, Karl!

I've been keeping an eye out for a good deal on that Bush Pilot. I love that Case. Very classy.

A nice showing so far from everyone.

Charlie, is that Hawbaker from the factory with that Wharnie blade, or was it reprofiled? I love those serrateds Schrades too.

LBG, I've got a Queen folding hunter with a .30-30 cartridge head too. A previous owner had reprofiled the edge to a convex edge. Naturally, the blades are no longer shiny and polished. I touched it up with a few licks on an Arkansas stone and WOW, I can see why some fellas won't have any other kind of grind. Very sharp! That one will become a companion piece to my Marlin 336.

Very, very nice....For those of us who don't have this particular folder style you sure give us good reason to....Thanks...
