Show off your 15's

My latest 15’s. The snap on the light green version is too light and the action is too light, but I guess some people like that. The brown Richlite version has a much more appealing snap and very satisfying action.

Hard to say honestly, being my first go, there was a LOT of sitting and thinking of what to do. Also a lot of undoing and redoing work when I had to fix mistakes.Tried to do it in hour sessions so I could really sit and focus. If I had to guess, not counting research or brainstorming it probably took 7-8 hours.

That said, doing the second cover took about half as long as the first cover. Putting it together wasn’t bad, except getting the center spring pin in. Then spent way too much time fussing over then finish on the bolsters and sanding the handle to get scratches out.

Yessir it’s a 2018, and started with very middling action/pull. Which is to say it started very nice for its size. Not a nail breaker but not weak either and with decently snappy action.

When I first finished, the action was a bit sluggish from halfstop to closed. It was good everywhere else, just slightly slow to close. I think I peened it too tight chasing out some gaps.

However, after a good flush, and working the pivot a bit to clear things out, its broken in nicely already and is almost as good as it started. I’d say it’s about 90% as good as where it was originally.
