Show off your 15's

Man, where did you get that Micarta one? if you don't mind me asking?

The micarta crown lifters were a short run SFO by Collectorknives. They were also availble in clip points. They popped up with the recent short run of crown lifters GEC did around the holidays.

Thanks for the info. I NEED one. ;)

My 15s fall into two categories: TC Barlows and Radio Jacks.

Here are the Radio Jacks.

I don't think those were an SFO, because (removed non BF dealer member reference) had some too. They were a short run of "parts" knives, as I understand it.

I think they must be related.

Both nice knives and indeed a strong resemblence, however, the included shield, MS pull, and more elegant size of the pins in the old knife trounces the 15, at least to my eye.;):)

This is correct. They were made at the same time as the second anniversary TC Barlows. They made them in clip or one arm versions. I'm not sure how many of each.... won't know for sure until the production totals come from GEC but there weren't very many of them made. I was extremely lucky to score this one. If you see one available, don't hesitate!

Considering that there is another run of TC's and 15's coming around Feb - Mar, I wouldn't be too surprised to see some more oddities pop up. Be diligent in your search and you will eventually find one!

KBA, both of those are just outstanding! My eye has been caught by the simplicity of the 15 in deep, black ebony. I was hoping to find the simplest variant of the 15 with Gabon ebony covers, a single clip, but couldn't find one. Instead, I satisfied myself with a 15 farm boy. Mike's 77 Barlow 2 blade had been very usable for me, so I decided to give this 2 main-blade-ish pattern variant a go. So far, I love it, and think it is a good addition to the family!
Thanks,
B.

Nice one, Baldy! You have a very diverse collection of 15s there!

Thanks Philllll! I am pretty happy with how my 15 collection has taken shape, especially with the switcheroo of blades between my electrician and my crown lifter that Evan did for me. This whole traditional knife thing came on me very swiftly, and I think I am settling into what I like and dislike a bit more, so my pace of additions has not been the warp-speed that it has been since this past July when it began. It has been an expensive, yet very rewarding experience, and certainly one that has been enhanced greatly by the fine folks like yourself that populate this forum.
Thanks,
B.

That Scout is still "off the charts"!! Congrats, jrtodd46!:thumbup::D:thumbup::thumbup:

With what they're going for in the exchange, I'm just waiting for GEC to make them again. I know this will happen soon. Beautiful knife Todd!

I also picked up an Esnyx modified 15 Beerlow. :D Haven't taken my own pics yet so I'm borrowing Evan's.
Beautiful work by Evan in Desert Ironwood.

Just these three; however, I'm very fond of them. The Crownlifter gets the most pocket time, alternating with my 77s.
